Moroccan stock market closed with gains driven by strong performances in the Holding Companies, Real Estate, and Distributors sectors. At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares Index increased by 0.21%.

Top Performers: S2M, Jet Contractors, and Fenie Brossette

Leading the gains, S2M (CSE) saw an impressive rise of 8.10%, adding 17.00 points to close at 227.00. Jet Contractors (CSE) followed with a 7.68% increase, climbing 112.00 points to reach an all-time high of 1,570.00. Meanwhile, Fenie Brossette (CSE) rose by 7.50%, up 7.95 points to close at 113.95.

Lagging Stocks: CTM, SNP, and M2M Group

On the downside, CTM (CSE) faced a decline of 4.43%, dropping 29.70 points to end at 640.00. Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE) lost 4.24%, finishing at 468.00, while M2M Group (CSE) decreased by 3.85%, closing at 550.00.

In total, the Casablanca Stock Exchange recorded an equal number of advancing and declining stocks, with 23 each, while 8 stocks remained unchanged.

Commodity Market: Declines in Oil and Gold

In the commodities market, crude oil prices for December delivery dropped 5.22%, settling at $68.03 per barrel. Brent oil, set for January delivery, fell by 5.09% to $71.78 per barrel. Additionally, gold futures for December saw a slight decrease of 0.04%, ending at $2,753.55 per troy ounce.

Currency Exchange Rates: EUR/MAD and USD/MAD

In currency exchange, the EUR/MAD rate declined by 0.13% to 10.67, while the USD/MAD dropped 0.35% to 9.86. The US Dollar Index Futures also saw a minor dip, down 0.08% to 104.05.
